SI 14- Justin Thomas, Masters

As my SI comes to a close, I wanted to do a theme in which I'd never done before. In perfect timing, The Masters is this week, and I have never done a golf edit. I decided to do a Masters edit of one of my favorite golfers, Justin Thomas.
For starters, I found this image of the green jacket ceremony. I wanted to create a background, and decided on the green jacket, which I zoomed in heavily in order to get the logo on the jacket in the graphic as well.
Then, I inserted a picture of Justin Thomas. I found this graphic from the Dell Match Play tournament in Austin that would fit perfectly. I used the quick selection tool, which cut out the image pretty easily, then selecting a layer mask.
Next I added multiple texts. First, the "Masters 2021" in a traditional, masters looking cursive script. Additionally going vertically, a more common font, simply because that is what would be found on the trophy that is presented to the winner, hopefully JT this year.
Lastly, I added the following images for detail. The PGA tour was a png, so the only necessary tool for that was the sizing tool, which I shrinked and placed in the lower left corner. Then, a masters logoed flag, which I cut out only for the upper portion, removing the pin. Lastly, I added this image of the signs that are located on-site at Augusta National. I cut this out using the magnetic lasso tool and placed behind Thomas, giving a solid perspective and adding detail along with it.
This is my finished piece.
